Team Angle on tape: Shows she is “blunt, plain spoken” leader: Team Reid: “supreme hypocrisy” by trying to make deal

Here's what spokesman Jarrod Agen said in response to the revelation of that tape of the Sharron Angle-Scott Ashjian meeting:

"Sharron expressed what many working families in Nevada and across the country are feeling. They are angry with Harry Reid, they are angry with Washington DC, and they want blunt plain-spoken leaders who are willing to shake things up. Sharron represents the interests of Nevada, not the interests of Washington DC like Harry Reid does, and that's why she is going to win."

Not surprisingly, Team Reid called the tape a "bombshell" and put out a memo that read in part:

"Sharron Angle engaged in an act of supreme hypocrisy (even for her) during their secret meeting – attempting to cut a deal with Ashjian to get him off the ballot, and openly trashing the very same national Republicans that are supporting her candidacy."

This one may have legs....

  1. Pretty soon, she'll have enough material for a "Greatest Hits" album!

    "Angle's Mangles"...

The only hard part will be choosing from SO MUCH MATERIAL!!!

  2. I wonder if the tape is legal isn't Nevada a both party notice state?

  3. Ashjian wanted an apology from the Tea Party Express they and the GOP have fought his involvement on the ballot so now after trying to strong arm him they are now begging him and they still refuse to give him the apology so he got even when he recorded the conversation and released it to shed the bad light on them.

Seems fair to me they got him, He got them, So now there even.

  4. AnnieK and mred:

The only criminal statutes related to recording of conversations are contained in Chapter 200 of Nevada Revised Statutes. NRS 200.650 does prohibit recording by a third party but does not criminalize recordings by a participant in the conversation.

  5. Maybe I am being dense, but Ashjian's name is on the ballot in black and white for all the voters to see and check if they so desire that has already been sent out. Early voting starts, at least in my county, on October 16th. How is he supposed to get out or drop out now?

  6. If you hate your state and your country, vote for Harry Reid...!
