State health officials said today that the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center at 3196 S. Maryland Parkway will be cited Monday.
The Nevada State Health Division's Bureau of Licensure and Certification has found deficiencies similar to those discovered at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada.
The Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, owned by Dr. Dipak Desai, and five other clinics operated by him, were closed down by Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Clark County and Henderson business license officials. The North Las Vegas clinic has reopened.
Although the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center has deficiencies, Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Director Mike Willden said there are no known infectious diseases connected with the clinic.
Three outpatient clinics in Reno have been notified of deficiencies, he said. Clinics with deficiencies have 10 days to submit a plan on correcting the problems.
