Possible hostage situation defused

Henderson Police and a SWAT team responded to an apartment complex

about noon today about a possible hostage.

After a six-hour standoff, police took one person into custody, but

there was no apparent hostage at the Traverse Point apartments, 45

Maleena Mesa.

Police have not released any details of the person in the apartment

or a motive. Residents said they did not hear any shots or other noises.

Officers blocked off the apartment complex at all entrances to

prevent motor vehicles from entering.

  2. Somebody probably reported an icechest left by the door.HPD asked Metro for advice Metro suggested they evacuate the entire complex,like last week
