Bishop Gorman will cap its undefeated season with a state championship game victory. The Gaels are hands down the best team we've seen in years. But Del Sol won't go down without a fight. The Dragons will control the clock with their run game and keep the score respectable.
Gorman 42, Del Sol 13.
Bishop Gorman
vs.
Del Sol at Sam Boyd Stadium
Gorman steamrolled Palo Verde and turned the state semifinal against Reed into a joke. The haters will be out in full force for this one, but the Gaels are unstoppable. I think Del Sol's Preston Goroff is one of the best coaches in the state, so I know he will have the Dragons ready, but there is just no way they can topple this giant. I'll always pull for the public school underdog, but this won't be pretty.
Gorman 52, Del Sol 20

What time does the game start?
Bishop Gorman, the best team money can buy. Good luck Del Sol, I am totally on your side.
btw, If you choose to root against Gorman it doesn't mean you are a hater, it means you have an intelligence that money can't buy.
It's so easy to hate Gorman. Do you think Palo got to state semis seven years in a row by luck? Vegas wins the sunrise for the better part of a decade is just luck of having good atheletes in your neighborhood? Cmon now. At least Del Sol has a shot, Basic wouldve gotten shut out.
will this be televised on local tv? I know it has been before, didn't know about this year.

...and for Brewer and Silver:
We'll see...
dnt be so sure Basic woulda got shut out. What makes you think that Basic, a team that lost by one point, would have gotten shut-out?
Because lets face it Basic's division is garbage compared to the Sunset.
First off I think Basic was robbed by refs against Del Sol... But I think Del Sol can get 3-4-5 yards chip away and get that #4 receiver that burned Basic enough times to score 2-3 times, if they can capitalize on turnovers they have a shot. I think Basic wouldn't be able to run against Gorman and they wouldn't have enough speed to go deep. Plus their o-line wouldn't be able to hold long enough to get deep passes
I think Del Sol is considered the underdog but shouldn't be counted out. Goroff is an outstanding coach who continues to create great teams from a small roster. I have a great deal of respect for him and so do the kids. Whatever happens, rest assured we will not give up and we will give it everything we have! Including a lot of heart!
