Police still looking for suspect in Friday’s shooting death

Metro Police are still searching for 17-year-old Jonathan Romero of Las Vegas, named as a suspect in Friday's shooting death of an 18-year-old man who was shot in the head and killed.

Police found David Manriquez of Las Vegas dead from a single gunshot wound to the head in a house in the 800 block of Blandensburg Street near Washington Avenue and Lamb Boulevard about 6:43 a.m. Friday.

Police searched for Romero in the immediate neighborhood and also near Clark Avenue and Maryland Parkway, shutting down Maryland in both directions north of Charleston Boulevard for almost three hours Friday.

Romero is described by police as standing about 5-foot-9, weighing about 130 pounds with a shaved head, brown eyes and possibly a thin mustache.

Anyone with information is asked to call either Metro's homicide section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
