Domestic violence charges against Assemblywoman Francis Allen, R-Las Vegas, were dismissed by a Las Vegas justice of the peace today.
Allen had faced a felony domestic violence charge for stabbing her husband, Paul Maineri, in the arm with a steak knife and then telling him to call his mother after he asked for help with the wound in May, Metro Police said.
The police report said Allen and Maineri got into an argument at their home and Maineri was stabbed in the left forearm. Maineri drove himself to the hospital and doctors closed the wound with three stitches.
Allen also had a misdemeanor battery charged filed by police for scratching Maineri on the forehead with her wedding ring when she pushed him.
