National Park Service rangers and the Metro Police dive team recovered the body of 52-year-old Michael Evans Henderson of North Las Vegas about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, on the Nevada side of Lake Mohave, Deputy Park Supt. Gary Warshefski said.

Although it's a probable drowning, the Clark County Coroner's Office will determine the exact cause of death.

National Park Service dispatch received an emergency call about 7 p.m. Saturday that two people were in the water at Six-Mile Cove on Lake Mohave south of Cottonwood Cove, Warshefski said.

Neither the man nor the woman wore lifejackets and were struggling to return to the shore on the Nevada side of Lake Mohave.

The woman made it back to shore and was airlifted to Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. Her condition is unknown.

Park rangers searched for the man until about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, then resumed the search Sunday morning, Warshefski said.
