The FBI and Henderson Police are seeking 24-year-old Isidro Garduno, the boyfriend of 20-year-old Mariel Moreno of Henderson, whose body was
discovered Feb. 29 near Sunset Park.
Moreno was reported missing by her family when she did not return from a New Year's Eve party.
A week after a woman's body was found near Sunset Park, the Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed it was Moreno.
Detectives interviewed Garduno about Moreno's disappearance after she was reported missing. Garduno said he dropped Moreno off at her home about 4:30 a.m. Jan. 1. Garduno was not arrested at the time because there was no evidence of foul play at the time, Henderson police said.
Garduno left Southern Nevada shortly after Moreno disappeared. Detectives believe he fled to Mexico. At this time Henderson Police and the FBI are working together to locate him.
The warrant was signed two weeks ago, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said.
