A 79-year-old woman, Rosita Storey of Las Vegas, died today from injuries after a motorcycle struck her on East Charleston Boulevard at 17th Street, Metro Police said.
Storey was struck about 5:38 p.m. Monday as she tried to cross Charleston from north to south in a marked crosswalk, police said.
Brandon Dover, 38, of Las Vegas, was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson eastbound on the boulevard in the left lane. As Storey started to cross the street, the motorcycle failed to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk, police said. The crash remains under investigation by police.
Storey was taken to University Medical Center where hospital staff pronounced her dead.
