Last week the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill requiring the Veteran's Administration to assess procedures at its mental health facilities, including oversight and distribution of prescriptions, and report back to Congress with the results. The bill is named after Justin Bailey, a war veteran who overdosed and died at the VA while self-administering his medications. His father and stepmother contacted Nevada Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, who wrote the bill after hearing what happened to Justin.
