C.T. Sewell Principal Carrie Larson was surprised by the Milken Family Foundation with a $25,000 award for her work as an educator.

  1. The Milken Award, by its name, should be rewarded to a Teacher, not a Principal. It has not been spelled out what makes her an excellent "teacher". If they are going to reward a Principal, it should be a Principal that leads a school whose tests scores should not need improvement, that the educators within the school should not have fled like a rat in a sinking ship, and that should not have not been seen by parents in an inappropriate position on the school grounds. Who does the application process? Oh, other administrators. I wonder if they pass the $25000 around to each other.
