Thanks Representative Berkley for supporting this imperfect yet better than nothing legislation. It is a good first step in a series of reforms.
One day will we look at this issue and wonder why we it wasn't done earlier !
It will save lives and alleviate human suffering and is a demonstrative display of government doing something for the people.
I am against MOST government intervention but I do feel this issue is different and further measures should be taken because the insurance industry WILL find ways around the law.
Every time the Republicans are in charge they do NOTHING to reform health care. Then when the Democrats try to DO something they just seem to stand in the way and are really insincere because they could care less.
My pledge. I will switch from Independent to Democrat NEXT week if it passes. The Republicans have become TOO ideological and offer NO REAL solutions to any of todays problems. They will become obsolete unless they change their tune. What do they have to run on in positive terms ???

I am a capitalist yet on this issue, I side with the Democrats. Health Care in my opinion falls into a special category and needs to be dealt with immediately. No one should go bankrupt or deal with physical pain and suffering because they have no access.
It is all too easy to criticize this imperfect plan for those who have health care but remember "bad luck" can happen to anyone ! Don't think that misfortune will never strike you or your family because one never knows.
I do believe it will cost more than CBO states and if it does, it is money well spent. Moreover, in the long run we will be glad when it passes because WE will all benefit directly or indirectly.
Rep. Titus is doing the honorable thing.
