It has been an unwritten rule in Nevada sports betting for decades: A sports book will virtually always cash a winning ticket even if the bettor redeems it after its expiration date. For one thing, it’s good customer relations, plain and simple.

Throughout the final day’s play at the 1997 World Series of Poker, Stu Ungar periodically reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a photo of his daughter, Stefanie. Through his familiar blue-lensed granny glasses, he stared at the teen’s portrait and smiled before tucking it back into his shirt pocket — close to his heart — and playing his hand.
Las Vegas Wranglers center Tyler Mosienko, at 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds, is one of the smallest players on the team, but he's also one of the hardest workers.
