The 5-foot-7, 170-pound Griggs had 52 tackles and four sacks last year in helping Palo Verde win a second consecutive Northwest Division title. Offensively, he rushed for 16 touchdowns and nearly 1,000 yards while adding five receiving touchdowns through the air.
