Arbor View High School incoming freshman quarterback Thaddeus Thatcher, 16, poses at the school in Las Vegas Thursday, June 29, 2023. Thatcher was diagnosed with leukemia at seven years old but has since recovered. As part of his recovery, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his wish to be part of the UNLV football team. He went to practice and was in the locker room. Now, even before playing one high school game, he’s got a scholarship offer to play for UNLV.
