UFC 171 breakdown, betting odds and picks
    March 13, 2014
Johny Hendricks must feel like the most popular fighter in the UFC — or at least among the most supported. An abnormal amount of fans picked Hendricks going into his welterweight championship bout against Georges St. Pierre, who hadn’t lost in six years and 11 fights, last November. Even after the judges rendered a split-decision verdict in favor of St. Pierre, almost everyone argued Hendricks deserved the victory.

Canelo Alvarez, Alfredo Angulo promising a 'Mexican war' at the MGM Grand
    March 7, 2014
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez couldn’t have chosen two more contrasting opponents in back-to-back fights. Canelo suffered the first loss of his career in September when he challenged Floyd Mayweather, Jr., the world’s most well known boxer whose brilliance lies in his tactical mastery. He’ll return at the MGM Grand Garden Arena against Alfredo Angulo, a nominally known brawler who’s worked his way up to one of the biggest fights of the year with unencumbered aggression.

Gustafsson has something to prove, is facing a worthy opponent at UFC London
    March 6, 2014
Alexander Gustafsson doesn’t sound like a fighter who believes he has a lot to prove in his bout Saturday against Jimi Manuwa in London at UFC Fight Night 38. The response to the brutish Swede during the past six months since he pushed light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to the limit at UFC 165 makes it unrealistic to expect him to feel that way. Fans have treated Gustafsson like an uncrowned champion, or at the least an uncontested top contender, since he dropped the unanimous decision but sent the world’s best fighter to the hospital and a prolonged recovery in ...

After 2012 seemed to feature more big fights getting canceled than actually taking place, the UFC received the infusion of good luck it needed for the last 12 months.

    Dec. 13, 2013
Leading up to the penultimate fight card of the year at UFC on Fox 9 , the focus seems squarely on two things — the bickering between featherweights Chad Mendes and Nik Lentz and the rematch intricacies of the flyweight championship main event. But don’t sleep on Faber vs. McDonald.
