    Only time will tell if Frankie Edgar’s performance against B.J. Penn Saturday will finally prove to the masses how good of a mixed martial artist he is. One thing is for sure, though — it certainly proved it do Dana White.

    A heavyweight title fight at UFC 118 showed everyone that professional boxer James Toney still has a lot to learn in mixed martial arts. It also demonstrated that, at 47, Randy Couture might know just about everything there is to know.

    James Toney will be 42 years old when he makes his professional debut as a mixed martial artist against Randy Couture on Aug. 28 at the TD Garden in Boston. The way he sees it, that leaves him three years. Three years to prove that not only can he cross over from the sport of boxing to MMA, but that he's the greatest pure fighter of all time.

Nick Diaz fails to back up years worth of talk

UFC 158 A welterweight title fight that felt incredibly different wound up remarkably the same. Georges St. Pierre manhandled nemesis Nick Diaz with his wrestling. St. Pierre won every round on every judges' scorecard in Montreal for his sixth straight unanimous-decision victory. Diaz had preached his superiority over St. Pierre for years, but when he finally got his chance, he looked as helpless as all the other challengers to the 170-pound division's throne in the last six years. St. Pierre's consistency continued to amaze. Now it's on to Johny Hendricks, who defeated Carlos Condit in the evening's co-main event. Could he be the one to finally threaten St. Pierre?
