    Pandemonium broke out seconds after Brock Lesnar submitted Shane Carwin to claim the heavyweight title at UFC 116 Saturday night. Lesnar leapt onto the top rail of the octagon, raised his arms and started screaming. The capacity crowd at the MGM Garden Arena released a cannon-like blast of energy.

    The weight limit for a heavyweight fighter in the UFC is 265 pounds. Both fighters competing in Saturday’s main event title fight would probably come in even heavier if they could. Champion Brock Lesnar and interim champion Shane Carwin both weighed in at the 265-pound maximum.

    Following Thursday’s UFC 116 pre-fight press conference at the MGM Grand, UFC President Dana White couldn’t hold back laughter when asked if he thought Brock Lesnar has grown a soft side.
