Harrah's Entertainment Inc.'s Flamingo Las Vegas today announced the brother-sister duo Donny & Marie have extended their headliner contract for an additional two years, through October 2012.

The Osmond Brothers, from left, Jay, Merrill and Wayne, perform at the Suncoast. The brothers do their best work these days in chorus rather than in solo performances. The Osmonds make it a point to interact with their fans, and to have their fans interact with one another.

You know how there are Stones people and Beatles people? Letterman people and Leno people? There was a time, many years ago, when the world was divided between Osmond people and Jackson 5 people. I was with the Jackson 5 people; I could not stand the Osmonds. The reason I was with the Jackson 5, why I would have been happy to kink my hair into a Tito-esque Afro if not for the cost, was because the Jackson 5 were far more fun/cool than the Osmonds.
Members of the Osmonds give a finale during a show in August at the Orleans celebrating the 50th anniversary of the clan's start in entertainment. From left are Virl, Alan, Jimmy, Jay, Donny, Marie, Merrill, Wayne and Tom. Various combinations of Osmonds will soon be touring Europe and Asia, then performing in Las Vegas.
