Police: Las Vegas man dies when car crashes into concrete barrier

A man died after the car he was driving ran a red light at a T intersection and crashed into a concrete barrier, according to Metro Police.

The crash was reported about 10:05 p.m. Sunday at Buffalo Drive and Tropicana Avenue, police said.

The car was headed south on Buffalo when it failed to stop for the red light and crashed into the barrier, police said.

The driver, a 53-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to Spring Valley Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived at the hospital, police said.

The man’s name was not released, pending notification of his family, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
