A 62-year-old woman was killed Thursday night while crossing a Las Vegas street against the don’t walk signal, according to Metro Police.
The incident happened about 10:25 p.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard at Pecos Road, police said.
The car was headed west when the woman, who was in the crosswalk, crossed into its path and was struck, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver, a 68-year-old North Las Vegas man, remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
