Two women are dead after a shooting this morning in North Las Vegas believed to be an isolated incident, police said.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots about 6:40 a.m. in the 2000 block of McCarran Street, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, North Las Vegas Police said.
They found the women, one believed to be in her 20s and the other in her 30s, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release their names, police said.
“This investigation is still in the preliminary stages, however, detectives believe this was an isolated incident,” police said in a statement.
No additional details were immediately available.
