A bicyclist was critically injured Monday night when he was hit by a car that left the scene and was later found unoccupied, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported about 6:55 p.m. on Sahara Avenue, west of Lamb Boulevard, police said.
The unidentified driver failed to remain at the scene, and the car was found a short time later not far from the crash scene, police said.
The cyclist, who has not been identified, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
