Man booked on lewdness charges after incident near Las Vegas school

Metro Police have arrested a man and booked him on child sex abuse charges after an incident that occurred near a Las Vegas school on Monday, according to a news release.

Nicholas Donovan, 27, has been booked at Clark County Detention Center on felony charges including lewdness with a child less than 14, coercion with force and kidnapping of a minor.

Police stated that Donovan allegedly approached several juveniles on their way to a school in the 700 block of Crestdale Lane. He attempted to lure them by requesting help before he forcefully grabbed one of the children and touched them inappropriately.

After the incident, officers arrived and arrested Donovan, the release stated.
