A person was fatally shot after an argument Sunday in the northeast valley, according to Metro Police.
The shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Holt Avenue, near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards, police said.
Officers found a male suffering an apparent gunshot wound near a vehicle parked on the street, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The victim was involved in a verbal dispute with another male before the shooting, police said. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, police said.
The investigation was ongoing, police said. No additional details were released.
