Woman, 33, booked on open murder count in man’s slaying

A woman has been booked on a count of open murder in the slaying of a man last week during an altercation, according to Metro Police.

Shaleece Brown, 33, was identified as a suspect in the case and turned herself in Tuesday at the Clark County Detention Center, police said.

A shooting was reported about 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 17 in the 1400 block of Helen Belle Drive, police said.

Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a home, police said. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

The victim was involved in a physical altercation inside the residence with several people before he was shot, police said.

All suspects fled the area before officers arrived, police said.

Police released no additional details about Brown’s alleged role in the incident.
