Las Vegas police: Pedestrian struck by vehicle, suffers life-threatening injuries

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when they were struck by a vehicle this morning in the east valley, according to Metro Police.

The incident was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at South Nellis Boulevard and Boulder Highway, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The driver remained at the scene, and impairment was not suspected, police said.

Police asked people to avoid the area.
