Motorists navigate rush hour traffic on Interstate 15 in Clark County near the Strip.

Interstate 15 will be closed both ways from Russell to Flamingo roads this weekend for demolition work, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
The freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Monday for demolition of the south half of the Tropicana Avenue bridge over I-15 and Frank Sinatra Drive, officials said.
All ramps at I-15 and Tropicana will be closed, along with the Flamingo Road onramp to southbound I-15, the Harmon Avenue ramps at I-15, northbound I-15 access to Arena Drive, the Russell Road onramp to northbound I-15 and the Las Vegas Boulevard onramp to northbound I-15, officials said.
The closure is part of a project of an interchange widening project.
Drivers should avoid the I-15 between the Spaghetti Bowl interchange and the I-15/215 South interchange over the weekend, officials said. Signs will mark detour routes, officials said.
