Taylour Tedder, the city manager in Boulder City, is stepping down to take a job in Delaware, according to a statement from the city.

Tedder is taking a job as city manager in Rehoboth Beach, Del., a coastal city with a population just over 1,100, officials said.

Tedder’s last day on the job will be May 8. The selection of an interim city manager will occur later in April, officials said.

“My wife and I have loved our time in Boulder City, but an opportunity like this comes along once-in-a-lifetime,” Tedder said in a statement.

Tedder, who has held the job in Boulder City since 2021, has been responsible for several major policies, including a short-term rental ban and adding electric vehicles to the police department.

Tedder has been a strong leader for the city, Mayor Joe Hardy said in a statement.

Before working in Boulder City, Tedder worked as an assistant city manager in Kansas.
