Coronado football making strides each week

Aiden Krause had a pair of touchdown passes tonight for the Coronado football team in a 33-6 win over Palo Verde.

Skyler Jackson rushed for about 100 yards and a touchdown, and the Coronado defense forced five turnovers in winning for the second straight week.

After losing to perennial powers Arbor View and Liberty to open league play, Coronado beat Shadow Ridge last week and had a strong effort tonight in a nonleague title against the Panthers.

First-year coach Shawn Dupris said his team “is coming around and doing a good job.” He praised his team for being more physical the past two weeks.
