Daniel Rosales’ short touchdown run in the first quarter was all the Chaparral High football team needed tonight in a 28-0 win against host Del Sol.
Davon Williams and Ioane Tauiliili also scored for the Cowboys, giving them their first win in three games.
“We bounced back tonight,” coach Don Willis said.
Chaparral has a bye next week ahead of the Cleat Game with Eldorado on Sept. 22. It’s the 50th anniversary celebration for both schools — and one of the notable rivalry games in Nevada. Eldorado beat Chaparral last year.
“We have two weeks to prepare to get our cleat back,” Willis said.
