Dishon Lewis rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter tonight for the Chaparral High football team in a 18-0 playoff victory over visiting Del Sol.
Keimaria Cooley threw a 46-yard touchdown to Ioane Tauiliili for the Cowboys’ other points.
“We had a great start in going down on the first two drives and scoring,” coach Don Willis said. “But from there we just kind of stopped finishing drives.”
Chaparral gets a rematch with Canyon Springs in the next round. Canyon Springs rallied in the fourth quarter to win the regular season meeting between the schools.
“It was a good battle between us,” Willis said of the matchup with Canyon Springs.
