Anthony Vega had four touchdown passes in the first half Friday for the Basic football team in a 48-20 victory against host Clark.
Zuri Whiters, Demarion Matthews, Anthony Dorlon and Chrey Traylor had receiving touchdowns, and Boston Wren and Brandon Griffin had rushing scores to help Basic improve to 5-2 overall.
Basic led 35-0 at halftime.
“Anthony has been playing really well,” Basic coach Jeff Cahill said. “He has been improving every week. As he improves the offense gets better.”
Basic plays Green Valley next week in Henderson Bowl, the annual meeting between the school that is considered one of the state’s top rivalry games.
