Peyton Parnell had three touchdown receptions Friday night for the Mojave football team in a 28-10 victory against Cheyenne.
Mojave trailed 10-0 in the first half, then closed the scoring with 28 unanswered points.
“Credit to Cheyenne. They were all-in and ready to go,” Mojave coach Wes Pacheco said.
Quarterback Caleb Asato had a big day for the Rattlers with 278 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Mojave will need a duplicate performance in the final two games of the regular season when they face Centennial and Somerset Losee, the top teams in the conference.
“People are going to doubt us in those games, but we are going to prove them wrong,” Pacheco said.
