A suspect was arrested and charged in Denver on Monday in connection with a fatal shooting in Downtown Las Vegas last week, according to a Metro Police news release.
Lawrence White, 38, was identified as the suspect by Metro detectives and was taken into custody by law enforcement in Denver.
The shooting occurred early Wednesday in the 300 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard.
Police reported that the victim was involved in an altercation with two men before he was shot. Both suspects had fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival.
White has been charged with one count of open murder and is awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.
