A moped rider was killed early today when he ran off the road and hit a pole, according to North Las Vegas Police.
The crash was reported about 3:10 a.m. today in the area of Decatur Boulevard and Rancho Drive, near the North Las Vegas Airport, police said.
The moped was headed north on Decatur, attempting to make a left turn onto Rancho, when it ran off the right side of the road and hit the pole, police said.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release his name, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
