Police: Woman with stab wounds found dead in burning Las Vegas apartment

A woman with stab wounds was found dead in a burning apartment this week east of downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to the blaze about 1:50 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of East Charleston Boulevard, police said.

Firefighters found the woman in the apartment suffering from apparent stab wounds, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s name, as well as the cause and manner of death, police said.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
