The Clark County School Board will vote next week on reconfigured attendance boundaries for several schools in the northwestern corner of the Las Vegas Valley and in Henderson.

The School Board and the Attendance and Zoning Advisory Committee will meet jointly Monday to consider new boundaries between the following schools:

Indian Springs, Bilbray and Scherkenbach elementary schools; Indian Springs and Escobedo middle schools; and Indian Springs, Centennial and Arbor View high schools: shuffling at all levels to accommodate planned major residential construction on the outskirts of the Centennial Hills area, north of Kyle Canyon Road and west of U.S. 95.

Ellis and Wallin elementary schools: Ellis may extend its zone into the Wallin zone to balance lopsided enrollment in burgeoning southwest Henderson. Ellis is around 117% of capacity, while Wallin is about 74%, district data shows.

Green Valley and Coronado high schools: Green Valley may extend its boundaries into Coronado territory to allow students who live south of Wigwam Parkway, west of Stephanie Street, north of Interstate 215 and east of Green Valley Parkway — currently zoned for Coronado, even though Green Valley is closer, less crowded and doesn’t require crossing the freeway — to go to Green Valley without lobbying for an exception.

If approved, new boundaries would go into effect next school year.

The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at the Greer Education Center, 2832 E. Flamingo Road.
