Snow flurries were spotted in northwest Las Vegas today near Centennial Hills and Summerlin as the valley dealt with heavy winds and rain. Flurries were spotted elsewhere, too, including in Henderson.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory through 10 p.m. Wednesday. It reported gusts up to 60 mph at Harry Reid International Airport.
The snow, which was coming down the heaviest in the Skye Canyon community in the northwest, wasn't sticking to the ground, the weather service said.
The Nevada Department of Transportation advised drivers to use snow chains or tires when traveling on Kyle Canyon Road near Deer Creek Road on Scenic Route 157.
