Mason Dew completed 27 of 40 passes for 457 yards and four touchdowns for the Foothill football team on Friday night, but the Falcons couldn’t outscore host Clovis East of California in a 63-34 defeat.
“We moved the ball quite well and we had some guys who did some good things,” Foothill coach Vernon Brown said.
Winning on the road in California is no easy task, but Foothill kept the game close early.
The Falcons on two occasions in the first half cut their deficit to seven points, Brown said. But “we couldn’t hold them defensively. We were in position to make plays, but couldn’t get to the ball.”
