3 juveniles arrested after fatal shooting in North Las Vegas

Three juveniles have been arrested, and one is dead after a shooting Wednesday on the 2600 block of Donna Street, a North Las Vegas Police news release stated. 

The incident started when three male juveniles, at least one armed with a handgun, approached another male juvenile, with intent to rob him, the release stated. The three males threatened and hit the other male. 

The male who was the target of the robbery ran away and retrieved a handgun from a nearby apartment, the release stated. He then chased the three males and fired several shots. 

One of the males was struck and transported to University Medical Center, where he died. The other two males fled. 

The alleged shooter was immediately taken into custody and booked into Clark County Juvenile Detention Center for the charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. 

Detectives located the other two males and booked them into detention center for the charge of robbery with a deadly weapon. 

The Clark County Medical Examiner has yet to release the homicide victim’s name.
