In his final game for the Chaparral High football team, Michael Diggs surely made an impact tonight.
Diggs’ 12-yard touchdown run in overtime gave the Cowboys (2-8) a 24-18 win over Cheyenne. Cheyenne received the ball first in overtime, but Diggs had an interception to give Chaparral the ball.
“It’s nice to end the year with a win,” coach Don Willis said. “Of course, we wish we were in the playoffs.”
Diggs also had a touchdown run earlier in the game. Christopher Leafdale added a 5-yard touchdown run and James Donham recorded a safety.
