Quarterback Brandon Tunnell and Donavyn Pellot hooked up for a pair of touchdowns tonight for the defending state champion Silverado football team in a 43-0 victory against visiting Sierra Vista in the second round of the class 4A playoffs.
Silverado only ran 24 offensive plays, including two rushing touchdowns from Caden Harris and one from Pellot.
Defensively, Jayland Mcglothen recorded three sacks and Bryson Tunnell had a 86-yard interception return for a score. That play helped keep Sierra Vista from scoring — a rarity for opponents of Silverado, who on the season has yielded just 23 points.
