In this episode of “Heating Up,” the Sun’s Arleigh Rodgers speaks with Erika Washington, executive director of Make It Work Nevada.

Make It Work focuses on environmental justice because climate change is an issue impacting people of color and low-income people in Nevada, Washington said.

Washington said Make It Work added a climate element to its scope to address the issue in the communities that needed it. She also spoke about how certain environmental and mental health factors impact the people the organization works closely with.
