Station Casinos has started a free testing program to screen employees for the coronavirus before they eventually return to work.

All employees — about 14,000 in the Las Vegas area — will be tested, the company announced today. The program will be extended to workers at businesses that lease space at Station properties, officials said.

Casinos statewide have been shuttered by order of the governor since mid-March to help curb the spread of the virus. No date has been set for reopening.

Station plans to reopen its properties in phases, with Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch Resort, Santa Fe Station, Boulder Station, Palace Station, Sunset Station and its wildfire properties set to open first.

The tests are being administered through MedicWest/AMR and Quest Diagnostics.
