An elderly woman crossing a Henderson roadway outside of a designated area was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night, according to city police.
Henderson Police and medics responded to the crash near Green Valley and Wigwam parkways at about 7 p.m., Officer Rodrigo Peña said. Multiple 911 callers reported a woman down.
A preliminary investigation determined that the woman was outside a crosswalk on Wigwam, west of Green Valley, when the crash occurred, Peña said.
The motorist, who was not impaired or speeding, remained at the scene, Peña said.
Wigwam in the area was shut down and wasn’t expected to open for about five hours, Peña said about 8:45 p.m.
