A 6-year old child drowned in the northwest valley Monday night during an Independence Day party, police said.
Metro responded to the 2500 block of Monte Carlo Dr., near Torrey Pines Drive and Smoke Ranch Road, about 7:10 p.m., Metro Lt. Kendall Bell said. The child was found unresponsive and pronounced dead shortly after.
No additional information was available on the child’s drowning.
