A suspect was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting death of a 44-year-old North Las Vegas man on New Year's Day, according to North Las Vegas Police.

Shawn Lynn Glover, 29, was booked into Las Vegas City Jail on counts of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, ex-felon in possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within an occupied structure, North Las Vegas Police said in a news release today.

Police were called about noon Jan. 1 to a home in the 4000 block of Smokey Fog Avenue, near East Centennial Parkway and Walnut Road, where a shooting was reported, according to the release.

A man later identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as Patrick Fleming was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on scene, police said.

It appears Fleming and Glover knew each other, and the two got into a dispute in the home before the shooting, according to police.

Others inside the home were not injured, police said.

Glover fled and was arrested without incident about 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of North Rancho Drive, near West Lake Mead Boulevard, police said.
