Two Las Vegas men are dead after a one-vehicle rollover crash on New Year's Eve on Interstate 15.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol:

The incident occurred at 10:08 p.m. as a

The men were southbound in the right lane at 10:08 p.m. in black Nissan 370z, approaching the Craig Road offramp, when the driver made an unsafe lane change to the left.

The 22-year-old driver lost control, causing the Nissan to rotate counterclockwise into the center median and strike the divider wall.

The Nissan then traveled back to the right, crossing all the lanes, and overturning onto the right shoulder. The vehicle came to rest on its top and caught fire.

Both the driver and the 24-year-old passenger were pronounced dead on the scene.

Toxicology results are pending; high speed is thought to be a factor in the crash.

It is the 63rd fatal crash and 71st fatality handled by the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command in 2015.
