Thursday, Daquan Cook was kicked out of a UNLV basketball practice. Friday, the junior guard was dismissed from the team.
UNLV did not disclose the reason for the dismissal.
“We appreciate all that Daquan contributed while a member of our team,” interim coach Todd Simon said in a statement. “He is on track to graduate this spring and we will continue to support him.”
The 6-foot-2 Baltimore native appeared in just two of the Rebels' 23 games this season, serving a 13-game suspension during nonleague play for a DUI arrest. He had played only four minutes.
Cook red-shirted the 2014-15 season while recovering from a ACL tear.
